Communion

Due to the large number of cases of covid in our congregation, we will be offering communion two ways this Sunday.  We will be doing it our usual method and also we will have the individual portions available. (we have new individual things that are much better than the previous styrofoam crackers!!!)

Fundraiser

The Huntingdon Methodist Men will be having a fundraiser this Sunday (10-2-22) at Davis Chapel beginning at 11:30.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served, along with sides.

Membership Information Update

There will be a form in the next few Sunday bulletins for everyone to fill out concerning your personal information.  We would appreciate it greatly if you would fill one of these out and turn it in, just so we can double check that we have all of your information correct.  I know that we sometimes change email addresses or phone numbers.  These can be placed in the offering plate.
If you are not going to be able to attend the next few weeks...please drop me an email with your birth date, marriage date, address, phone number, email, and your kids names & birth dates.
Thank you so much in assisting us with this project!!!

PRESS release for JUNE

The Shepherd's Table Community Kitchen

The Shepherd's Table returns to inside dining this month! Our community kitchen located in Huntingdon, TN now serves meals twice monthly at the original location, First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 E.Main Street, on both the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays. Meals are served restaurant style with drive through available from 5:00 until 7:00. It is open to the public and there is no cost. All are invited.

This month's meal will be fried chicken, potato salad and green beans on the 21st, and spaghetti and salad on the 28th. all served with delicious dessert.

Food scarcity is real in this area and the Shepherd's Table’s success is dependent on the support of volunteers and donations. The meals are prepared by volunteer staff hosted by different congregations in our town and donated by local businesses. Our town's community kitchen was created by a group of volunteers that saw the need in the Carroll County community. They are scheduling the 2022 calendar. To volunteer or donate you can call 731-415-9199 and leave a message or email fpcshepherdstable@gmail.com

Summer Music Specials

Summer is almost here and opportunities are available for Sunday’s special music.

This Sunday,  someone will be in the Narthex to sign you up for special music during June and July.  Please check your calendar and pick a Sunday to share your talent. Help is available if needed in choosing your musical selection and practice.

Available dates are:
June 5, 12 and 19
July 3, 24 and 31
Multiple specials can be done on the same day, if needed.

Also, if you think you might be interested in an “all men or all women” Sunday special, please let us know by signing up this Sunday. Practice times for these 2 specials will only be on that particular Sunday. Those specials will be a very familiar piece to all.

We look forward to this special time of music! 🎶

Sunday Ushers

I received notice that I should remove anyone from the usher list that is on the safety team.  If you are on the safety team and do want to remain on the usher list, please let me know.

We need some new ushers!!!
Please take a moment and consider whether you would be willing to help us with this endeavor!!!

Needless to say, ushers can be either male or female.

Please email me, if you can do this.

Updates & Information

Anyone that is in need of numbered giving envelopes please let me know.  It is no problem to get those for you but I realize that many of you have envelopes left from the previous year.  These can be requested from the office at any point during the year, message me at any time.

Reminder - Please remember that the money counters will assume that any money in a giving envelope is for the operating fund unless notations are made on the envelope stating otherwise, even if you are pledged to the building.  The counters do not have that information.  I am with them when they are counting but they can't ask about each envelope.  I do catch this sometimes when entering the information into the computer but not always!

Please have all information for the February newsletter turned in by noon on Wednesday, Jan. 19th.

Please remember that the altar flower calendar has been hung in the hall across from the library.  It is always nice to have fresh flowers on the altar and it is a wonderful way to remember or honor someone!

Have the best week possible!!!
